Karaka has been described as 'paradise found'

this is because it offers a unique, peaceful, rural lifestyle rich in the traditional values so sought after today. The existing long established local community is family based with many generations having lived in the area, most are reluctant to leave the life they have built here.

Locally there is a decile 8 primary school at Karaka and another primary school at nearby Te Hihi. Rosehill has a fine decile 7 co-ed college within walking distance of Karaka Lakes and Pukekohe College a few kilometres to the South, is decile 6. Private Education is catered for at nearby Strathallan on Hingaia Peninsula a superb setting for an educational complex. Strathallan is co-ed and takes children from pre-school age to college.

The advantages of a rural lifestyle include an abundance of fresh produce being available locally. Add to this a wonderful connection with the great outdoors at your front door, horse riding, learning to fly, boating, golf or quite walks along the many beaches are all available close by. There are also many established sport and recreation clubs in the Franklin area.

The southern motorway connects you rapidly to Manukau City, Wiri, Highbrook, East Tamaki or Auckland International airport. If you need daily connection to any of the many locations on the Southern Railway line, there is a modern park-and-ride station only five minutes away providing convenient access to Auckland City, West Auckland, Newmarket and Middlemore.
